Welcome to Cove Honey Bees

Cove Honey Bees is a family run business based in Aberdeen, it was started in 2013 with just a few hives as a hobby located on the farm at Cove.  This has multiplied over the years giving us the numbers we currently have today turning the hobby into a full time business in 2018. Our strong working colonies produce honey from various apiaries in Cove, Banchory Devonick, Drumoak, Kirkton of Skene, Hatton of Fintray, Kintore, Fordoun, Laurencekirk, Fettercairn and Montrose.

The majority of our bees play a very important part of Castleton Farm’s pollination programme from April to late September, pollinating the cherry orchards in April, blueberries in June and covering the strawberries, raspberries and blackberries over the summer months, certanly keeps us and the bees busy!!!

Our bees are also helping with pollination at Westerton Farm during the pumpkin flowering season at the end of June and more pollination for Charleton Fruit farm in Montrose during the summer months where the bees forage on various crops including, cherries, apple, pear, plum, tayberries, gooseberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, peas and pumpkins.

Having all these diffrent loactions we ensure our bees a huge diversity to forage on which produces some really tasty spring & summer blossom honeys.
